1. Fans & Air Conditioners

Keep fans or air conditioning at comfortable levels during the day for your pet’s even if you are not home to enjoy the cool air with them.

2. Hydrate

Provide plenty of fresh water as dogs can only dissipate heat while panting, and during panting they lose water as well (think of all the slobber!). You can add ice cubes to water to keep it colder or purchase a cooling water bowl for outdoor use.

3. Shade

If your pet spends a lot of time outside make sure they have a shaded area to easily access to get out of the direct sun.

4. Grooming

Have your pet professionally groomed to remove excess hair that traps heat close to the body.

5. Timing

Exercise during cooler parts of the day, going for walks or runs early morning or in the evening after the sun has gone down.
