Veterinary Care for Sick and Injured Pets

When your pet isn’t feeling well or suffers an injury, time matters. At The Animal Hospital of Roxbury, we offer compassionate care for sick and injured pets, providing care and treatment when your pet needs it most.

Whether it's a sudden illness, limping, or vomiting, our skilled team is here to help.

Signs Your Pet May Need Immediate Veterinary Attention

Pets can't tell us when something’s wrong, so it’s important to watch for changes in behavior or health. Common signs that your pet may need urgent care include:

  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Limping or signs of pain
  • Lethargy or weakness
  • Coughing or difficulty breathing
  • Not eating or drinking
  • Swollen or bleeding areas
  • Seizures or disorientation
  • Wounds, bites, or broken nails
  • Sudden behavior changes

If you're unsure, it's always better to call. Our veterinary team will help determine if your pet needs to be seen right away. As we are not a 24 hour facility, if we are not in the office check our emergency referrals for immediate attention.
